It's Gossip Time!
Today
I want to tell you all about an organisation called 'Body Gossip' which is all
about getting people of all ages, gender, shape, size and race to love their
bodies and to think positively. It was first founded in the UK in 2006 by two
women named Ruth Rodgers and Natasha Devon. They created the organisation
in order to help people who didn’t think positively about themselves and their
image, and that’s when the whole thing started.

Over
the years they have progressed to do amazing and inspiring things, such as holding
educational sessions throughout the UK in different schools and social clubs.
They have also produced a book holding many people’s stories about their body
issues, which have then been produced into performances for stage and short films
– with a few celebrity cast members helping to tell the tales.
Today ‘Body
Gossip’ has grown strong in number, gathering people from all over the UK and
have now begun to spread across the globe, spreading the gossip about the
importance of positive thinking and a good attitude towards your body image.
The organisation has held lots of events, one involving a school performing
their body stories to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge!
There
are lots of ways to find out more about the ‘Body Gossip’ organisation, and a
great place to start would be their main website: http://www.bodygossip.org/home Take a
look at their history, their latest news, and their lovely collection of
merchandise (I highly recommend the t-shirts!) You can also get the book, which
contains so many stories of people who have struggled with their image, as well
as a forward by Gok Wan himself.
Other places of action are on their social
networking pages on Youtube, Facebook and Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram: https://www.facebook.com/bodygossip

Don’t forget to pass on the gossip to your
friends and family, and get the positive vibe out there. I’m off to organise my
#BodyGossip Flashmob which you can do also! If you want to share your photo
with me upload it to my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Lifeline2013
to share the love. Peace out!
